US hip-hop superstar, artist, producer and designer Kanye West will bring The Yeezus Tour to Australia in May, 2014.
Touring in support of his 2013 album, the critically acclaimed and ARIA Chart topping Yeezus, Kanye will stage his most breathtaking production ever in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
With more than 21 million albums sold worldwide, Kanye is the most potent force in music today. The 21-time Grammy Award-winner released Yeezus in June last year to acclamation from critics and fans alike, achieving his first ever ARIA chart number 1, and following up his Platinum releases 2010's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and 2011's stunning Jay-Z collaboration Watch The Throne.
2014 marks the tenth anniversary of the genre defining debut album The College Dropout. Released in 2004, the record propelled him to superstardom selling 3.3 million copies and proving why he's the most relevant name in hip-hop.
Last in Australia to top the bill on the 2012 Big Day Out, The Yeezus Tour will be Kanye's first headline shows here since 2008's epic Glow in the Dark tour.
"Brilliant...the current Yeezus tour is more than just a concert. It's an extravaganza of music and theatre...a combination which makes [Kanye] the most fascinating musical figure of our time and makes this tour an unmissable spectacle." – New York Post
"Watching Kanye West perform...I felt roughly the same exhilaration as the sixteen-year-old I was standing next to...is there anyone like Kanye now? Has there ever been? No. 'Yeezus' felt like the album of the year months ago; now the year just feels like it belongs to West. Or, more accurately, the moment keeps being his." – The New Yorker
Special guest for these shows will be Pusha T, making his Australian debut.
